UCT is looking for a talented Quality Engineer III to join us in Cebu!

Job Summary:

Customer Quality Engineers serves as the primary interface with customer on all quality related issues. The role ensures customer satisfaction by managing product quality performance, driving problem resolutions, and preventing recurrence through continuous improvement activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer complaints, field return, SCARS/8D response, and quality deviation requests
  • Lead root cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
  • Support customer audits, line walks, and quality reviews
  • Responsible for managing customer audits, scheduling, leading, follow up and closure on all audit actions.
  • Define inspection methods and quality check points across a product line.
  • Develop, implement In process Inspection / Final outgoing quality control to ensure CTQ characteristics are consistently achieved.
  • Work with Engineering and Supplier Quality to ensure proper rootcause analysis for recurring issues and provide disposition for MRB parts.
  • Support NPI builds from quality perspective, engineering change and validation activities.
  • Compile and analyze data trends to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes follow approved OMS and customer drawing /specifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate skills in preventive quality methods and compliance, statistical data analysis, critical thinking, structured problem solving (8D), the use of metrics to identify opportunities, and business process improvement.
  • Demonstrate the skills in managing customer quality issues, experience in setting up product and process quality control for equipment assembly line.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance, experience in product, process and system audit.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge in Process FMEA, SPC and Measurement System Analysis
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and Test data
  • Knowledge in Basic Statistics and process data analysis for continuous improvement

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Min. of Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent technical field is required, with Mechanical engineering preferred.
  • ASQ Certification such as CQE, CQA are advantageous
  • Training or certification in quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) is preferred.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • Min. 3-5 years of working experiences in Quality Engineering, Customer Quality or Manufacturing Quality engineering environment
  • Experience in managing customer complaints, 8D process, and driving rootcause investigation is required.
  • Experience with the ISO 9001 standard is required.
  • Strong background in problem-solving methodologies, such as 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, DMAIC and SPC.
  • Experience dealing directly with customer for auditos and quality performance review
