Job Summary
Quality control inspectors ensure that products meet quality and safety standards. Responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for the manufacture of products.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs visual inspection to ensure all quality aspects of the job are met exactly.
- Inspection includes but is not limited to:
- Raw materials, components, fabricated/manufactured parts & assemblies.
- Receiving/incoming inspection, in-process, final inspection
- Measures raw materials /components and/or assemblies.
- Generates detailed inspection and non-conformance reports as necessary.
- Checks documents for accuracy and compliance with requirements.
- Read and interpret information from engineering drawings, travelers, specifications, and other documents to generate a complete and precise inspection report/record.
- Requires ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Attain positive results and communication through team effort.
- Conduct quality inspection according to QC plan.
- Assist the QA Engineer in quality assurance-related scopes.
- Be able to implement the non-conformance procedure for rejected/failed products.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills, strong attention to detail.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and database software.
- Must be computer literate.
- Basic math abilities
- Must be able to read and apply production instructions, drawings, and specifications in a proficient level.
- Proficiency in using handheld tools (micrometers, calipers, Optical Comparator, profile projector, surface roughness, and other measuring and test equipment.
Educational/Certification Requirement
- At least SPM for Malaysians with technical certificates preferred
- High School Diploma/equivalent
Experience Requirement
- Able to carry heavy loads (up to 20Kg)
- Must be willing to work in a cleanroom environment: wearing jumpsuits, safety helmets, and safety shoes.
- Must be willing to work shift work and OT if required.
Work Experience
- 1-2 years working in machine shop, assembly clean rooms. Semiconductor and/or machining and wet process industry.
