1.0 Job Responsibilities
• Supervise SMT QA/QC inspectors and technicians, assign daily tasks, and monitor performance
• Develop, implement, and maintain SMT QA procedures, standards, and documentation in compliance with ISO, IPC, and other applicable standards
• Conduct quality audits and inspections on SMT lines, including First Article, in-process, and final inspections
• Review defect data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective / preventive actions (CAPA)
• Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities related to SMT products
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and NPI teams to support new product introductions and design-for manufacturing initiatives
• Train and develop QA/QC staff in inspection techniques, IPC standards, and quality tools
• Support customer audits and manage customer quality complaints related to SMT
• Prepare quality reports, yield analyses, and metrics for management review
• Other additional work tasks or additional roles assigned by the superior
2.0 Job Requirements Education & Experience:
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in SMT quality control, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (for medical), or IATF 16949 (for automotive) is preferred Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment (e.g., SPI, AOI, reflow ovens), and soldering standards (IPC-A610, J-STD-001)
• Proficient in quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto analysis, FMEA, and 8D reports • Experienced in using inspection tools and measurement equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and PCBA specifications Soft Skills:
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and disciplined, with strong leadership, teamwork, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Willing to work in shifts and perform overtime when required
