Quantity Surveyor Mechanical

Job Scope

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for mechanical engineering projects.
2. Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to perform accurate quantity take-offs.
3. Analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and recommend cost-effective solutions.
4. Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
5. Monitor project costs and cash flow to ensure projects remain within budget.
6. Evaluate subcontractor progress claims and process payment recommendations.
7. Maintain records of project costs, contracts, and supporting documentation.
8. Negotiate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors on contractual and commercial matters.
9. Identify potential cost risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
10. Assist in procurement activities, including preparing requests for quotations and bid evaluations.
11. Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
12. Prepare regular cost reports and provide financial updates to management.
13. Support project teams during project execution and project close-out.
