About the Role

On behalf of our clients, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to take full responsibility for the management and control of project costs throughout the entire construction lifecycle from project inception to final delivery. The successful candidate will ensure efficient resource utilization while maintaining quality standards and meeting client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage and control all cost-related aspects of building and construction projects from inception through completion.

-Prepare cost plans, budgets, estimates, and cash flow forecasts.

-Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.

-Evaluate tenders, contracts, and variations to ensure value for money.

-Conduct cost analysis and advise on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

-Ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and client specifications.

-Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.

-Liaise closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.

-Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of cost-related matters.

Requirements

-Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

-Proven experience in cost management within building and construction projects.

-Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and budgeting.

-Ability to manage project costs from inception to completion.

-Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

-Good understanding of quality standards and construction best practices.

-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying or construction software.

-Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
