Mission & role of the function
To assist the Quarry & Premix Manager in the smooth operations of the quarry and premix plants by coordinating all operational activities within the quarry. .
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee the daily operations of the quarry and premix plant.
- To perform general administrative and maintenance work.
- To oversee the work performed by all operational workers on site.
- To control production costs.
- To manage stockpile volumes effectively.
- To ensure compliance to statutory requirements.
- To prepare all production reports.
- To ensure observance of safety rules and regulations and personal safety at the workplace as per HSE policy.
- To schedule and plan repair and maintenance work for fixed and mobile plants.
- To undertake projects assigned from to time.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
- Proactively manage health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health & safety performance.
- Management and ownership of health, safety and environment policy and site HSE objectives.
- Management and ownership of processes and culture within operation by identifying workplace hazards, minimizing identified HSE risk with adequately control of the hazards to achieve zero harm with continual improvement in consultation with HSE Department.
- In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.

- To ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place.
- To comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994(Act 514) and to observe the requirements of the Company Health Safety and Environment Policy and other relevant legislation. .
- To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required.
- To comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company.
- To assume responsibility for those aspects of the OH&S management system over which they have control
- To participate in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and actions (PDCA) for improvement of the OH&S management system.
- To report any incident involving own self, co-workers, contractors involving machineries or mobile machine whilst at the workplace to your immediate superior & (HSE Manager) as soon as reasonably practicable.
- To report any commuting to work accident a soon as reasonably practicable to your immediate superior & HSE Manager.
- To comply with procedures as required under current existing ISO standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Material Science/Mineral Resources Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years experience in Quarry operations or related industry or its equivalent.
- Good communication skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia (in writing & orally).
- Excellent analytical skills.
