Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Hardware Engineer
- Participate in hardware design of new transceiver products.
- Support HW engineer for testing and solving hardware related technical problems.
- Support NPI and manufacture team on transceiver problem analysis and solving.
- Software Engineer
- Work with a group of mechanical, electric engineers to develop world-class high-tech automated system.
- R&D, new product and manufacture automated application system related development and maintenance.
- System integration between motion, vision, different testing equipment, etc.
- Process and process automation equipment transfer.
- Work with vendors or system suppliers for the automation projects, responsible for vendor sourcing and project review. Understand, analyze and resolve complex technical and functional problems.
- Closely collaborate with Automation team in US for Automated system Co-development.
- Optical Engineer
- Design and develop new or custom designed OSA products.
- Analyze customer and marketing technical requirements to meet new and specific customer needs.
- Work with mechanical, electrical engineers to design the optical system.
- Work with process engineer to test and verify the new products.
- Help the vendor to improve their products to make sure its function could achieve all the designed spec.
- Support the transfer of new designs to manufacturing, and resolve any technical design issues. Interact with the new product introduction group to assist in the introduction to manufacturing of new designs.
- Switch Test Engineer
- Develop scripts on switch for testing optical communication modules.
- Develop software & hardware tools to automatize R&D test & development process (by using AI technology).
- Develop test scripts and algorithms to measure communication parameters and logic functions.
- Develop drivers to control instruments and equipment through GPIB, serial port or USB.
- Analyze and locate the root cause of failures by doing experiments and reading documents.
- Support firmware code for modules and test boards.
- Maintain good software life cycle practice from Requirement Analysis, Architecture Design, Testing, Coding, Documentation and Maintenance.
Education & Experience/Skills
- Hardware Engineer
- Bachelor or Master's Degree or Ph.D. in electronics, electrical engineering, optical communications, communication system, or a related field.
- A strong technical education background in high speed circuit or optical communication is desirable.
- Experience in high speed circuits design and simulation is a plus.
- Familiar with schematic and PCB layout design and tools is a plus.
- Self-motivated, strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Software Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in automation, mechatronic engineering or computer science/engineering.
- Knowledge in automation systems and hands-on experiences in developing software.
- Familiar with the C, VC, C# language.
- Preferred with experience in motion control, machine vision, data management and DAQ& GPIB application.
- Preferred with experience in SQL database.
- Hands-on experience of software system development and implementation.
- Self-motivated, thorough, and creative to understand new tools & technology
- A good team player with good communication & presentation in English.
- Optical Engineer
- Master's degree in Optics, Electro-optics, Physics or Electrical Engineering with strong optics and fiber optic background.
- Ability to use optical simulation tools such as Zemax/Code V, and to analysis the system tolerance.
- Knowledge of optical test solutions and has the ability to do experiments and root cause analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is desired.
- Must be self-motivated, and good teamwork spirit.
- Switch Test Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Science or higher in computer science/engineering, electrical engineering, communication engineering, automation or related area.
- Proficient in C#, C, C++ or Java is a must.
- Knowledge in switch development or test development on switch is good plus.
- Proficient in Python, AI technology, JavaScript, Linux, embedded system design, PCB design or FPGA development is good plus.
- Strong learning ability and problem-solving ability, be able to find creative solutions for challenging technical problems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A good team player, self-motivated and able to work independently.
