THE ARNOTT'S GROUP ASIA BUSINESS IN MALAYSIA

Campbell Malaysia is the Regional Hub for The Arnott's Group Asia Business Unit. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the organization leads the strategy & direction to ensure that The Arnott's Group has a geographical footprint across Total Asia.

Campbell Malaysia also supports the region by supplying locally manufactured and marketed brands such as Campbell's soup, Prego pasta sauces as well as Kimball & Cheong Chan sauces. Asia's extended range of consumer food brands also include TST, Swanson, GoodTime & Nyam Nyam.

They join TheArnott's Group's portfolio ofbrands like Aussie legends Tim Tam & Shapes as well as New Zealand's favorite Farm Bake Cookies to drive presence in Asia.

Position based in Petaling Jaya.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development Projects lead in idea development, project management, review formulation, materials and processes, product improvement / cost optimization, conducting trials and shelf-life studies whenever necessary for innovation or renovation projects.
  2. Provides technical support to Supply Chain team on plant troubleshooting, process or machine changes, BCP and alternative material program.
  3. Leverages internal & external key partners and global / regional R&D to ensure project delivery on time in full.
  4. Provides coaching and supervision to a team of Technologist(s) and Technician(s) to promote engagement and continuous behavioural, technical and leadership development.
  5. Proactively develops self and team awareness of food trends, innovative ingredients and technologies to facilitate the development of new and / or improved products and/or processes. Keeps up to date with food safety and regulatory standards to ensure compliance

Requirement:

Qualified degree in Food Science/ Food Technology or related Sciences

Minimum 3 -5 years working experience in food manufacturing industry, R&D

No food inhibitions or major food allergies. Enjoys culinary work

Familiar with general food processes, food safety requirements, local Food Act & Regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and Halal requirements.

Competent with MS Office applications, BPCS or BOM system, basic financial costings.

Good verbal and written communication skills (English)

Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and project management skills.

Able to independently manage team and stakeholders to deliver joint targets
