Your new role

• Lead end-to-end new product development (NPD) from concept through to commercialisation, including trials and product optimisation.
• Drive innovation and renovation projects to enhance product quality, cost efficiency, and performance.
• Oversee pilot trials, troubleshooting, and process improvements to ensure smooth production transfer.
• Ensure product compliance with local regulatory and food safety requirements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, sales, and marketing.
• Build and develop a high-performing R&D team through coaching and talent development.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment in a leadership role
• Strong background in product development, formulation, and food processing
• Proven experience leading NPD projects and making sound technical decisions
• Exposure to at least two of the following segments: UHT, margarine, or chocolate
• Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with QA, Production, and commercial teams, with familiarity in plant operations
• Knowledge of food regulations, quality standards, and product compliance requirements
• Experience in stakeholder management across technical and commercial teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
