Performing radiological procedures in accordance with standard operation procedures (SOP), professional's ethical standards, established safety regulations and international patient safety goals (IPSG) to generate diagnostic images of the highest quality.
Ensuring safety of environment, radiation and magnetic fields to all parties which includes patients, colleagues and visitors during the performance of radiological procedure.
Ensuring proper care, handling and maintenance of the equipment, accessories and facilities. Report immediately to senior when encounter malfunction of the equipment, accessories or facilities and assisting in submitting work requests for necessary repairs.
Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the department and respective station.
Ensuring the examination rooms are prepared and consumables stock is sufficient.
Ensuring all completed patient's studies are promptly sent to Picture Achieving Communicating System (PACS) following the procedure.
Performing personal protective equipment (lead gown) inspection annually.
Attending to patient during non-office hour, ensuring a response within 15 minutes after hospital operator or the referral department makes the initial phone call.
Job Requirements
Degree in Medical Imaging
Registered Radiographer with Ministry of Health, Malaysia
Minimum 2 years of working experience in hospital setting
