Lead and manage the Recreation department towards achieving continuous improvements in resident & guest satisfaction, driving towards resident & guest engagement and wellness.
Establish departmental goals, objectives, and work plans aligned with organisational priorities.
Conduct resident and guest satisfaction surveys, analyse feedback, and propose improvement initiatives to management.
Responsible for the planning and execution of daily, monthly, and ad-hoc in-house and out-door activities for the Independent Living residents, Dependent Living residents, and the Confinement Centre guests.
Develop, manage, and maintain a structured events and activities calendar, including excursions and trips, Corporate Social Responsibility Event to promote resident engagement and wellbeing.
Responsible and manage special resident events such as monthly birthdays, festive celebrations, anniversaries, and community activities, and any other ad-hoc activities.
Oversee the design, decoration, and readiness of Recreation & Leisure spaces.
Plan, manage, and curate appropriate daily music selection and scheduling, ensuring alignment with festive calendars, special events, and brand standards to enhance ambience and the residents and guests experience.
Design and implement wellness, fitness, and recreational programs tailored for seniors and the guest from Confinement Centre.
Partnering with other departments on cross-functional events and initiatives, as well as collaboration with key operational departments, including Food & Beverage Service, Kitchen, Wellness Centre, Confinement Centre, and Housekeeping.
Manage the overall operations of the Recreation & Leisure Department, including manpower planning, task allocation, performance monitoring, staff development, budget control, expense tracking, cost containment, and optimization initiatives.
Job Requirement:
Diploma or Degree in Sport, Recreation & Leisure, Occupational Therapist, Hospitality, or related field.
Relevant sports, fitness, or wellness certifications (e.g., Personal Trainer, Power Training, Group Exercise Instructor).
Minimum 5 years of experience in Recreation, Leisure, or Hospitality, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Previous experience in a similar managerial position within a hotel, resort, or senior living residential environment is required.
Experience in event planning and execution, facility management, program development, and people management.
