Do you see yourself as Recreation Manager with IHG's Luxury brand

To lead, develop, and manage all recreational experiences at the resort, ensuring exceptional guest engagement, safety, and alignment with IHG brand standards. The role is responsible for delivering memorable leisure activities that enhance guest satisfaction, drive ancillary revenue, and support the resort's positioning as a destination experience.

Your day to day:-

Guest Experience & Programming

  • Design and execute a diverse recreation program (land, water, wellness, and cultural activities) tailored to resort positioning and guest demographics
  • Create unique, localized experiences reflecting destination culture
  • Ensure high levels of guest engagement, satisfaction, and personalization
  • Monitor guest feedback and continuously enhance offerings

2. Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of recreation facilities (pool, beach, kids club, fitness center, water sports, etc.)
  • Ensure all activities are delivered in line with IHG brand standards and safety protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness, upkeep, and functionality of all recreation areas
  • Manage scheduling, activity calendars, and seasonal programming

3. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations and IHG safety standards
  • Conduct regular risk assessments for all activities
  • Ensure proper lifeguard coverage, certifications, and emergency preparedness
  • Maintain incident reporting and preventive measures

4. Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing recreation team
  • Foster a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and service excellence
  • Conduct performance management, coaching, and succession planning
  • Ensure team is multi-skilled and guest-focused

5. Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Develop and manage recreation budgets
  • Drive revenue through paid activities, experiences, and partnerships
  • Monitor costs, productivity, and profitability
  • Identify upselling opportunities and new revenue streams

6. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Front Office, F&B, Spa, and Sales & Marketing teams
  • Support group business, events, and special programs
  • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized activities

7. Brand & Sustainability Initiatives

  • Ensure alignment with IHG brand standards and guest experience frameworks
  • Integrate sustainability practices into recreation offerings (eco-friendly activities, community engagement)
  • Promote wellness and responsible tourism
