Our Client:
We are partnering with a MNC that specializes in manufacturing of Engineering Equipment. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Regional Business Development Manager as part of their strategic growth.
Responsibility:
- Manage and grow regional distribution channels to achieve territory volume and revenue targets.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for high-growth regional hubs to increase market penetration.
- Identify new market opportunities, target customers, and business segments, creating clear action plans to secure them.
- Utilize CRM systems to track business development activities, manage pipelines, and monitor KPIs.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of the product portfolio to conduct effective client demonstrations.
- Build solid relationships with regional distributors, providing necessary commercial and technical support.
- Conduct profitability and trend analyses on current and future business streams to ensure healthy margins.
- Provide accurate regional market forecasts and data inputs to support corporate budgeting.
- Collaborate with product management teams to evaluate and introduce new product opportunities.
- Design and implement product training programs for channel partners at a regional level.
- Coordinate localized product introductions, including early-stage testing and feedback programs.
- Prepare concise monthly regional performance reports and ensure CRM data is kept up to date.
- Represent the company at localized trade shows and regional industry association events.
Requirements:
- Proven background in industrial manufacturing, preferably with experience in fluid dispensing, electronics assembly, or technical materials would be added bonus.
- Solid track record in regional business development with measurable success in expanding market territories.
- Strong understanding of managing both direct manufacturing accounts and indirect distribution channels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience negotiating contracts with corporate management.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to execute strategies with minimal supervision.
- Established industry network with the ability to build trust across various management levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on uncovering and resolving customer operational challenges.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced with corporate CRM systems.
