Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager to support the company's growth and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead market research, strategic planning, and the development of business cases to support regional and international expansion. This role will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and site heads to identify new business opportunities, enhance performance, and implement initiatives aligned with the company's vision.

Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable business development initiatives.

Lead and coordinate strategic planning with clear project timelines, financial/operational targets, and performance review mechanisms.

Drive aggressive customer acquisition and engagement across target markets and segments.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, and drive customer satisfaction through regular engagement and follow-ups.

Conduct market research and feasibility studies to support regional and international expansion.

Identify market gaps, emerging business needs, and new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and market expansion areas.

Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities; prepare reports on market viability, opportunities, and key risks.

Develop business cases and ROI analysis for new projects, proposals, or market entry initiatives.

Lead the development of business proposals and commercial negotiations.

Work closely with regional heads and senior management to enhance the structure, processes (SOPs), and branding of the Sales/Business Development team.

Maintain a CRM system to track pipeline activities, client interactions, and business outcomes.

Recommended Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management, or any related field
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus (especially for candidates handling strategy and regional expansion)

Experience:

  • Minimum 58 years of relevant experience in business development, strategic planning, commercial strategy, or sales leadership
  • Experience in regional or international markets is a strong advantage
  • Proven track record in identifying and closing business opportunities and managing partnerships

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics
