Regional Business Development Specialist

Our client is a globally established manufacturer and supplier of specialty food ingredients, with a strong international presence and a trusted customer base spanning the food, beverage, nutrition, and industrial sectors. As part of its continued expansion across ASEAN, the company is seeking a commercially driven professional to support regional market development, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships across key markets.

The successful candidate will be based in Malaysia and possess strong knowledge of ASEAN business practices. They will identify market opportunities, coordinate with prospective and existing customers, and provide market intelligence to support regional growth. This role focuses on business development support and market coordination, with no authority to negotiate commercial terms or conclude contracts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in business development, market development, sales support, regional account coordination, or market intelligence
• Experience within food ingredients, commodities, agribusiness, FMCG, or beverage industries is highly preferred
• Proven experience working across multiple ASEAN markets.
• Experience in a multinational or regional organization is advantageous.
• Professional proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Thai and Bahasa Indonesia are a bonus.

Additional Preferred Profile

• Existing network within the ASEAN food, beverage, ingredients, or commodities sector
• Comfortable travelling across ASEAN (approximately 30–50%)
