Regional Category Manager - Speciality & Steel Protection

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Regional Category Manager - Speciality & Steel Protection is responsible to manage and effectively implement marketing activities to boost business development in the region in line with regional- and segment marketing plans and ensure good communication and co-ordination between regional Marketing and local teams in relation to marketing activities of Speciality and Steel Protection.

This position will be reporting to the Regional Marketing Manager Marine & Protective and will based in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement appropriate marketing plans by having a solid understanding of needs related to the markets in the Region and maintaining good communication with all levels.
• Manage and understand customer behaviour to gain insight into the region for the Speciality and Steel Protection category.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans and activity by means of closed-loop analytics and other KPIs as per Regional marketing strategy.
• Maximise the positive impact of global initiatives by working closely with the regional management and communicating effectively with the local units.
• Work closely with the regional segment/concept sales teams and offer market insights relevant to the region on global innovation projects.
• Contribute to the growth, positioning, and profitability of the Speciality and Steel Protection Category portfolio by developing communication strategies, activities, and tools at the regional level.
• Support the launch of new products at the Regional level and work closely with Marketing Communications and Regional Colour Manager to ensure the promotional mix meets sales objectives.
• Prepare annual volume/value forecasts, marketing plans, and brand promotion plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Preferably have managerial experience and knowledge in Marketing.
• Must be proficient in verbal and written English.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to travel within the region when required.
