The Regional Financial Controller, Asean is responsible for overseeing all financial operations across multiple Southeast Asian markets. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, strengthens compliance and internal controls, and drives strategic financial planning across the region. Acting as a key business partner, the Regional Financial Controller provides commercial insights to support growth, profitability, and operational excellence across ASEAN country entities. The role also leads regional finance teams and supports process improvement and system implementation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis (FP&A)
- Consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across ASEAN countries.
- Prepare management reports, KPIs, variance analysis, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned with Acclime Group accounting policies and GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Monitor financial trends and provide insights to regional leadership.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process for all ASEAN entities.
- Manage rolling forecasts and financial projections at regional and country levels.
- Perform variance analysis to identify drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Compliance, Governance & Internal Controls
- Maintain a strong regional internal control framework.
- Ensure compliance with Group finance policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Oversee statutory reporting and tax compliance in collaboration with local finance teams and external consultants.
- Drive regional policy standardization and harmonization.
Business Partnering & Strategic Support
- Partner with regional and country leadership teams to provide strategic and commercial insights.
- Support business cases, pricing decisions, investment assessment, and scenario modelling.
- Influence decision-making to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and operational results.
Audit & Risk Management
- Coordinate internal and external audits across ASEAN markets.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and continuous control enhancement.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation actions.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across multiple ASEAN countries.
- Foster collaboration, capability building, and consistent finance practices across the region.
- Drive a high-performance culture with clear goals, accountability, and coaching.
Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement
- Support the evaluation, enhancement, and implementation of financial systems and tools.
- Drive process standardization and automation to improve accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Champion digital finance initiatives and adoption of modern reporting technologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification (CPA/CA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred.
- 812 years experience in finance management, preferably in multi-country or regional roles.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, FP&A, compliance, and internal controls.
- Experience working within ASEAN markets with exposure to diverse regulatory environments.
- Proven leadership experience with cross-border teams.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Netsuite, Xero, etc.).
- Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
- Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS and local statutory requirements.
