Regional Head of Business Services - Financial Institution

Description

Our client, a leading financial institution is seeking a Regional Head of Business Services to lead a regional platform in Kuala Lumpur. This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility for service delivery, operational performance, transformation and value creation across multiple corporate functions.

The successful candidate will drive the evolution of the platform into a strategic business partner with a strong focus on scalability, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

You will lead the strategy and operating model, driving service excellence, productivity, scalability and cost effectiveness across the platform.

You will spearhead large-scale transformation initiatives across process re-engineering, automation, digitalisation and service modernisation, while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence.

You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and positioning the function as a trusted regional business partner.

You will provide strategic oversight of governance, risk and compliance, while leading a high-performing leadership team and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

• You have at least 15 years of experience in operations, shared services, global business services or corporate support functions, with senior leadership experience within an insurance company, bank or major financial institution.
• You bring a proven track record of leading large, multi-functional teams across Operations, Finance, Technology, Actuarial or other corporate services within a regional or multinational environment.
• You have demonstrated experience in transforming or scaling large operations or shared services platforms, with a strong track record in transformation, process optimisation, cost management and operational excellence.
• You have strong executive presence and commercial acumen, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, shape strategy and drive change across multiple markets.
• Prior experience in Insurance Operations with exposure to regulated financial services environments will be highly advantageous.
