Regional HR Manager, APAC (Global Manufacturing Firm)
Our client is looking for an experienced Regional HR Manager to lead the people agenda across China, Malaysia, India and Vietnam.
Reporting directly to the CHRO, this is a hands-on regional leadership role combining strategic HR partnering with responsibility for local HR operations. You will lead and support HR teams across the region while ensuring alignment with global people processes, governance and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and support HR Managers across the APAC region
- Drive the implementation of global HR policies, processes and initiatives across the region
- Act as the HR Manager for the local market, providing guidance on employee relations, employment matters and people processes
- Partner closely with country management, Global HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence
- Oversee key employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development and employee engagement
- Support organisational change and ensure consistent HR practices across multiple countries
- Monitor key people priorities, employee relations matters and HR risks across the region
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, internal policies and HR governance requirements
- Oversee HR systems, reporting, payroll, benefits and employment documentation within the relevant markets
- Promote effective employee communication, engagement and a positive employee experience across the region
Key Requirements
- Strong generalist HR background with solid experience across employee relations, performance management, organisational change and HR operations
- Proven experience leading and developing HR professionals across multiple countries
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical people solutions
- Comfortable operating across both strategic and hands-on HR responsibilities
- Strong understanding of local employment practices and HR governance
- Excellent communication, influencing and collaboration skills
- Structured, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities across different markets
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee and business matters
- Fluent English and comfortable working within an international environment
