The Regional Manufacturing Director will lead manufacturing operations across several sites in the region. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality and cost-effective production. The person will lead the supply chain and operations teams to improve performance, reduce costs, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional manufacturing operations across multiple sites.
- Ensure production is delivered safely, on time, within cost, and to required quality standards.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead supply chain, planning, logistics, quality and engineering teams.
- Improve production planning, capacity, inventory flow and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity and waste.
- Lead cost saving, continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.
- Manage site leadership teams and support their development.
- Identify operational risks and put practical action plans in place.
- Report site and regional performance to senior management.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field.
- Strong senior leadership experience in FMCG manufacturing.
- Experience managing regional or multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Good understanding of supply chain, production planning, logistics and inventory management.
- Proven experience improving factory performance, reducing cost and increasing efficiency.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and quality systems.
- Experience leading large teams and managing budgets, projects and stakeholders.
- International or matrix organisation experience is an advantage.
