Purpose Of The Role
To be the strategic architect of our in-market success. This role acts as a Center of Excellence for Trade Marketing, responsible for translating brand strategy into best-in-class execution across our Own Brands and for our top-tier Agency partners.
As a critical leader on the regional team, you will build the commercial capabilities, frameworks, and strategies that ensure our brands win at the point of sale. This position is pivotal in driving launch excellence for our innovation pipeline and establishing a new standard for trade, pharmacist, and key account engagement.
What You'll Do
Trade Excellence Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and implement a comprehensive trade excellence strategy with a primary focus on accelerating the growth of our Own Brands.
- Create and embed regional best-practice frameworks for trade marketing, ensuring sustained execution excellence for both Own Brands and Key Agency partners.
- Innovate new trade marketing and demand generation programs by leveraging our proprietary B2B platforms (e.g., ezRx+) to create a seamless online-to-offline experience for customers.
- Establish and govern a rigorous ROI-based approach to trade spend, optimizing investments to maximize growth.
Key Account Management & Joint Business Planning
- Design and deploy a standardized regional framework for Key Account Management, including strategic segmentation, tiering, and engagement protocols.
- Personally lead the creation and execution of annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) for top-tier retail partners (e.g., Watsons, Guardian, Mercury Drug) in priority markets, delivering mutual growth for our Own Brands and select Key Agency clients.
Commercial Capability Building
- Act as the region's foremost expert and coach for local sales and marketing teams, elevating skills in trade marketing, key account management, and in-store execution.
- Create and deliver a targeted curriculum of training modules to upskill country teams on best-in-class commercial capabilities.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and scaling best practices across all markets.
Pharmacist Marketing & Engagement
- Develop and execute a comprehensive pharmacist marketing strategy to build strong relationships and trusted advocacy for our Own Brands.
- Create targeted engagement programs, educational materials, and in-store tools to effectively communicate product benefits and drive pharmacist recommendations.
In-Store & Launch Excellence
- Serve as the commercial lead for new product introductions, ensuring channel readiness, distribution, on-shelf availability, and trade activation are flawlessly executed.
- Drive best practices in merchandising, planogramming, and Point of Sale (POS) development to maximize on-shelf impact and deliver a superior shopper experience.
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Trade Marketing, Key Account Management, or Commercial Excellence roles within a leading Consumer Healthcare (CHC) or FMCG company.
- A proven builder with demonstrated success in creating new commercial capabilities, processes, and teams from the ground up.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in creating and executing multi-year Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with major regional or national retail accounts.
- Expertise in leveraging retail, shopper, and syndicated data (e.g., retail audit, panel data) to generate actionable insights that drive commercial strategy.
- A strong understanding of the diverse retail channels across Southeast Asia (e.g., pharmacy, modern trade, convenience, e-commerce).
Advantage To Have
- Direct experience in developing and executing pharmacist engagement or expert marketing programs.
- Significant in-market experience in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, or Malaysia.
- Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to lead and deliver results in a complex, matrixed environment without direct authority.
