Job Description
- Lead technical pre-sales activities including requirement discovery, solution workshops, and technical qualification.
- Translate customer needs into vehicle configurations and technical specifications.
- Develop customised and special engineering solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and trainings to customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Support tenders and RFQs by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with governance standards.
- Estimate cost, lead time, and technical feasibility for solutions and support pricing discussions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and homologation requirements are met across SEA markets.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, technical documentation, and configuration records.
- Provide market insights, customer feedback, and competitor analysis to internal stakeholders.
- Enable sales teams through training, tools, and structured playbooks.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-sales / sales engineering / application engineering within commercial vehicles or industrial sectors.
- Strong ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions and influence decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for complex technical topics.
- Good commercial understanding (costing, margins, pricing considerations).
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regional functions.
- Experience working with distributors, partners, or body builders is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CRM tools & Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI).
- Fluent in English; additional SEA languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia.
