Job Description

  • Lead technical pre-sales activities including requirement discovery, solution workshops, and technical qualification.
  • Translate customer needs into vehicle configurations and technical specifications.
  • Develop customised and special engineering solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and trainings to customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Support tenders and RFQs by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with governance standards.
  • Estimate cost, lead time, and technical feasibility for solutions and support pricing discussions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and homologation requirements are met across SEA markets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, technical documentation, and configuration records.
  • Provide market insights, customer feedback, and competitor analysis to internal stakeholders.
  • Enable sales teams through training, tools, and structured playbooks.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-sales / sales engineering / application engineering within commercial vehicles or industrial sectors.
  • Strong ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions and influence decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for complex technical topics.
  • Good commercial understanding (costing, margins, pricing considerations).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regional functions.
  • Experience working with distributors, partners, or body builders is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools & Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI).
  • Fluent in English; additional SEA languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia.
