Regional Sales Manager

Location

Malaysia (Regional coverage: SEA / assigned territories)

Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion for NexusTest's optical instruments and test equipment portfolio. This role owns regional sales strategy, key customer relationships, channel development, and major account management, with a strong focus on customers inphotonics, optical communication, semiconductor, and electronics industries.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned B2B sales professional with deep technical understanding, capable of engaging with engineering, R&D, and management-level stakeholders while independently managing complex sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

Own and execute regional sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Drive sales of optical instruments and test equipment, including high-value and solution-based offerings.

Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across assigned regions.

Manage full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, closing, and post-sales follow-up.

Key Account & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, including decision-makers and technical teams.

Act as the primary commercial interface between customers and NexusTest.

Ensure high customer satisfaction, account retention, and expansion through proactive engagement.

Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, applications, and future roadmap needs.

Channel & Regional Management

Develop and manage regional distributors, agents, or partners where applicable.

Align channel strategy with company objectives and ensure effective coverage of target customers.

Support and coach channel partners to improve sales effectiveness and technical positioning.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demand in optical and photonics-related markets.

Provide regular feedback to management on market conditions, pricing, customer needs, and product positioning.

Contribute to go-to-market strategy, pricing strategy, and regional business planning.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with application engineers, FAEs, and headquarters teams to deliver optimized solutions.

Coordinate technical support, demos, evaluations, and customer trials.

Ensure timely forecasting, reporting, and CRM updates.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree or above inElectrical & Electronics Engineering, Photonics, Optics, Semiconductor, Communications, Instrumentation, or related fields.

Technical background isstrongly preferred.

Experience

Minimum 58 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in:

a.Optical instruments

b.Photonics / optical communication

c.Semiconductor test & measurement

d.High-tech capital equipment

Proven track record of managingregional or multi-country sales responsibilities.

Experience selling to R&D, manufacturing, and engineering-driven customers is highly desirable.

Technical & Commercial Skills

Solid understanding of optical / photonics-related technologies and test methodologies.

Ability to translate technical value into commercial value for customers.

Comfortable handling complex, long sales cycles and high-value deals.

Strong negotiation, presentation, and solution-selling skills.

Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required.
