Senior Business Development Manager - Data Center & Energy Solutions (SEA)

AI-driven energy efficiency solutions for mission-critical infrastructure.
As part of the regional expansion, we are seeking a
senior, solution-oriented sales professional to lead business development across
Southeast Asia, working closely with large data center operators and ecosystem partners.
This role offers strong autonomy, exposure to cutting-edge technology, and long-term leadership growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Strategy & Customer Development
- Develop and execute go-to-market and sales strategies for enterprise and international data center customers across Southeast Asia (Malaysia & Thailand).
- Identify, engage, and build trusted relationships with target customers, including large data center operators, colocation providers, and infrastructure owners.
- Establish senior-level relationships with key decision-makers such as CTOs, COOs, Heads of Operations, Facilities Directors, and Procurement leaders.
2. Solution-Based & Value Selling
- Deeply understand customer challenges related to energy efficiency, PUE optimisation, operational cost reduction, and ESG compliance.
- Position AI-driven energy optimisation solutions clearly and convincingly, articulating both technical differentiation and commercial value.
- Deliver tailored proposals, including business cases, ROI analysis, and sustainability impact assessments.
3. End-to-End Sales Management
- Own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification, needs analysis, solution presentation, technical discussions, commercial negotiation, to contract closure.
- Collaborate closely with internal pre-sales, technical, and product teams to ensure seamless customer engagement and delivery.
4. Customer Relationship & Ecosystem Development
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships to drive renewals, upsells, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Actively engage with the broader data center ecosystem, including consultants, design firms, system integrators, contractors, and equipment vendors.
- Participate in industry events and forums to strengthen market presence and brand visibility.
5. Performance Delivery & Market Intelligence
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue and contract targets.
- Gather and share market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to support product development and regional strategy refinement.
Requirements: Experience & Industry Network
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or key account management experience within the data center industry or related fields (e.g., HVAC, cooling systems, critical power, infrastructure management, energy efficiency solutions).
- Demonstrated track record and active network with data center operators and infrastructure clients across Southeast Asia.
- Solid understanding of data center operations, particularly cooling, power, and energy management systems.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders across cultures.
- Proven ability in solution selling / value-based selling, with strong commercial and negotiation capabilities.
- Highly self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in fast-growing and ambiguous environments.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Language
- Fluency in English is required.
- Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for collaboration with regional teams.
