Role Overview
The Regional Tax Manager will oversee and manage tax matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance, optimisation, and alignment with the group's tax strategy. This role partners closely with regional finance teams, business leaders, and external advisors on all tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage regional tax compliance and reporting across multiple countries, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and indirect taxes (VAT/GST/SST).
- Oversee income tax accounting, including tax provisions, deferred tax, and effective tax rate analysis.
- Lead transfer pricing matters: policy design, documentation, intercompany pricing reviews, and audit defence.
- Provide tax advisory support on cross-border transactions, restructuring, new business initiatives, and M&A activities.
- Monitor changes in international tax regulations (e.g. BEPS, Pillar Two) and assess business impact.
- Manage and coordinate external tax advisors and authorities across regions.
- Support tax audits, disputes, and rulings, ensuring timely resolution and risk mitigation.
- Drive tax risk management, governance, and internal controls.
- Partner with finance, legal, and commercial teams to support business growth in a tax-efficient manner.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CTA, etc.) preferred.
- 812+ years of tax experience, ideally with regional or multinational exposure.
- Strong international tax experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Corporate income tax & income tax accounting, Indirect taxes (VAT/GST/SST), Transfer pricing
- Experience dealing with multiple jurisdictions and complex cross-border structures.
- Prior Big 4 and in-house experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate tax issues into business-friendly advice.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced regional environment.
