Position Summary:
As a Regional Technical Sales Engineer based in Malaysia, you will be the key driver for RIGOL's business growth across the Southeast Asia (SEA) market. This role requires a strong blend of channel management and direct technical sales. You will be responsible for empowering our distributor network, engaging with key end-users, and utilizing consultative selling to provide the best Test & Measurement (T&M) solutions for our customers technical needs.
Job Requirements:
- Proactively manage, support, and expand RIGOL's network of distributors across the Southeast Asia region to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Generate new sales leads, technically qualify opportunities, and actively follow up to drive the sales cycle through to closure.
- Conduct direct technical and consultative selling activities, acting as the regional subject matter expert for RIGOL solutions.
- Maintain day-to-day relationship management with distributors, providing them with technical support, product training, and business reviews.
- Anticipate market trends, monitor sales activities, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
- Plan and execute regional marketing activities, including technical seminars, industry tradeshows, and product demonstration events to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Travel across the SEA region as needed to support distributors and visit key customers.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, with a strong focus on channel/distributor sales management.
- 5+ years of proven experience within the electronics or Test & Measurement (T&M) instrument industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with electronic measuring instruments (e.g., Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators).
- Ability to effectively communicate technical value propositions to both engineering professionals and channel partners.
- Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently in a regional role.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. (Proficiency in Mandarin or other local Southeast Asian languages is a strong plus).
