DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures and Quality Management System requirements.
  • Provide safe, effective and patient-centred nursing care.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to patients needs.
  • Administer medications and carry out treatments as prescribed by doctors.
  • Monitor patients conditions and report any abnormalities promptly.
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and medical records.
  • Assist doctors and consultants during rounds, examinations and procedures.
  • Provide health education and support to patients and their relatives.
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain a safe care environment.
  • Maintain and check controlled drugs, crash carts, equipment and nursing supplies.
  • Perform IV cannulation, venipuncture and other nursing procedures as required.
  • Respond to emergencies and perform resuscitation procedures when required.
  • Maintain proper infection control and sterile techniques.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other departments to meet patients needs.
  • Guide and supervise nursing staff and hospital aides when required.
  • Assist in the orientation of new nursing staff.
  • Participate in training, education and professional development programmes.
  • Maintain the required CPD points for Annual Practising Certificate (APC) renewal.
  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned by Management.
