Registered Nurse

Summary of Duties:

Responsible for delivering professional, holistic nursing care to patients in an assigned ward in line with medical instructions, hospital policies, and nursing standards. This includes patient assessment, care planning, documentation, timely execution of treatments, monitoring progress, and reporting abnormalities. Supports doctors during rounds and procedures while ensuring patient safety, effective communication, and compliance with the Nurses Act and professional code of conduct.

Also oversees ward operations such as staff coordination, admissions and discharges, stock and equipment management, and administrative duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

In addition, takes responsibility for continuous professional development (including CPD, training, and competency requirements), participates in staff training and supervision, and adheres to workplace policies and ethical standards. Contributes to policy improvement, ensures proper medication management, infection control, and confidentiality, and maintains equipment and facility readiness.

Actively supports safety and quality improvement initiatives, including audits, incident reporting, and compliance with occupational safety, patient safety goals, and service excellence standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing / Degree in Nursing
• Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Able to write and communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and the English Language.
• Able to work in a multicultural team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Caring, honest and responsible worker.
• Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shifts, weekends, public holidays, on-call and anytime when called during an emergency.
