The Regulatory & ComplianceSenior Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating all regulatory licenses, permits, and approvals required for the import and trade of SyAqua Group's products across multiple geographies. This includes feeds, genetics, supplements, chemicals, spare part, machines and equipment and other related inputs essential to operations and CAPEX/Project. The role ensures compliance with local and international regulations, collaborates closely with procurement, supply chain, sales, marketing, operations, and project teams, and maintains a robust regulatory database system with proactive reminders at least three months before license expirations.
This position plays a critical role in enabling uninterrupted supply chain flow, securing market access for SyAqua's products, and supporting the Group Procurement Manager in developing efficient regulatory strategies.
Job Responsibility :
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Secure, monitor, and renew import/export licenses, trade permissions, and related approvals for all SyAqua entities.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international regulatory frameworks covering feeds, genetics, supplements, chemicals and equipment.
- Act as the key liaison with regulatory authorities, customs offices, and certification agencies.
- Track and communicate regulatory changes and their business implications to relevant functions.
Audit & Governance
- Support internal and external audits by preparing regulatory documentation, permits, and approvals for review.
- Maintain accurate, auditable records of all licenses and compliance submissions in line with corporate governance standards.
- Develop compliance checklists, SOPs, and monitoring tools to ensure consistent regulatory practices across geographies.
- Provide quarterly compliance and governance reports to the Group Procurement Manager and senior leadership.
- Highlight non-compliance risks and propose corrective actions to mitigate business disruption.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Integrate license requirements into procurement processes, vendor approvals, and sourcing strategies.
- Partner with sales and marketing to ensure regulatory approvals align with market access and product launch plans.
- Support supply chain and operations teams by resolving regulatory delays and ensuring compliant product flows.
- Collaborate with project teams to embed regulatory considerations in new product development and market expansion.
Database & Systems
- Maintain a centralized digital compliance database of all licenses, permits, and certificates.
- Implement automated alerts/reminders at least three months before license expiry.
- Ensure data integrity, transparency, and readiness for audit at all times. Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to building a governance framework for regulatory and trade compliance across SyAqua.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments, identifying gaps and proposing process improvements.
- Drive awareness and training initiatives to strengthen compliance culture within the organization

Relevant Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, International Trade, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Professional certification in Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, International Trade, or Governance (preferred).
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in both English
- Proficient in MS-Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, regulatory database tools, and digital compliance systems.
- 35 years of working experience in regulatory affairs, trade compliance, procurement, governance, or supply chain, preferably in agribusiness, aquaculture, food, or life sciences industries.
- Demonstrated experience in managing regulatory audits, compliance reporting, or governance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of import/export licenses, customs clearance processes, and regulatory systems.
- Prior experience with multi-country compliance frameworks is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with audit processes, compliance reporting, and governance structures.
- Skilled in using MS Office, regulatory database tools, and digital compliance systems.
