Description
- Conduct hazard assessments using global regulatory frameworks such as GHS, CLP, REACH, and local regulations.
- Prepare and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), classification, labelling, and hazard communication documentation.
- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions to ensure full compliance.
- Monitor and assess regulatory updates, evaluating their impact on products and business operations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., supply chain, technical, customer service) to implement compliance strategies.
- Provide regulatory guidance, training, and support to enhance awareness and adherence to safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalisation and process optimisation.
Profile
- Bachelor's or degree or diploma in related field.
- Fluent in both English and Japanese min JLPT N2 (written and spoken).
- 3-4 years of experience in chemical regulation, product safety, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong knowledge of regional and global chemical regulations (e.g., REACH, GHS/CLP).
- Experience in toxicology, ecotoxicology, SDS authoring, or product stewardship is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
