About the Role:

We are looking for a Relationship Manager to drive business growth by acquiring and managing SME and commercial clients seeking financing solutions. This is a highly client-facing and sales-driven role focused on outbound business development, relationship building, and revenue generation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, prospecting and converting clients, understanding their financing needs, and working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver suitable financing solutions. You will play a key role in expanding CapBay's client base while building long-term relationships with business owners and decision-makers across various industries

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and acquire new SME and commercial clients through outbound business development activities, networking, referrals, cold calling, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Follow up on leads in a timely manner, conduct discovery discussions, and convert qualified prospects into active clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business operations, financing needs, and growth plans, while recommending suitable financing solutions.
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations to promote CapBay's financing products and value proposition.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and client acquisition to financing application submission and deal execution.
  • Gather and assess relevant financial and business information to support financing applications and credit evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to structure and execute financing solutions that meet clients business requirements.
  • Ensure all financing transactions adhere to regulatory standards and internal risk management policies.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with financing facilities to protect client and company interests.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Credit, Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of financing solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and strengthen market presence.

Key Qualities and Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a corporate banking or financial services environment. This includes working as a Relationship Manager or in roles with direct client-facing responsibilities.Proven track record of managing client relationships and executing complex financial transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial solutions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in sourcing new clients, cross-selling financial products, and growing a client base.
  • Knowledge and experience in credit analysis, financial statement evaluation, and risk assessment of corporate clients.
  • Ability to negotiate terms and agreements with corporate clients, ensuring win-win outcomes for both the client and the company
