Job Description

The Deployment Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing application and infrastructure deployments across banking systems. This role ensures smooth implementation of changes in production environments while maintaining compliance with regulatory and security standards. The position demands strong stakeholder management, technical expertise, and flexibility to support deployments during off-office hours.

Manage deployments for major projects in PROD environments.

Prepare detailed Deployment Run Books and Duty Rosters to manage deployment activities.

Oversee all deployment phases from pre-requisite checks to Go-Live and post-Go-Live support.

Raise all relevant RFCs for core projects and interface systems, ensuring CAB approvals.

Ensure UAM readiness and sign-offs prior to deployment.

Maintain checklists for each interface system for compliance and tracking.

Coordinate with multiple teams: Project Managers, DBAs, Business Analysts, Deployment Leads, Technical Leads, Vendors, and BAU Support teams.

Engage stakeholders for PSC and PWC meetings and prepare presentation decks with timelines and milestones.

Communicate deployment plans and updates via Teams and other recognized channels.

Ensure deployments adhere to banking regulatory requirements and internal security policies.

Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for deployment activities.

Expertise in release management for project implementation and support.

Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices.

Manage rollback plans and troubleshoot deployment issues promptly.

Provide post-deployment support and root cause analysis for failures.

Run Book preparation and Duty Roster planning.

Engagement of DBA, Deployment teams (Vendor and BAU Support).

Pre-requisite checks and RFC management for core projects and interface systems.

CAB approval process and active participation in discussions.

PSC and PWC deck preparation for deployment milestones.

Strong documentation and communication skills for project channels.

Good MS Excel skills.

Experience in using Share drive for documentation maintenance for ease of access to entire team.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

510 years of experience as a Release Manager or Deployment Manager in the Banking Domain.

Hands-on experience in preparing Deployment Run Books and managing detailed deployment activities.

Experience working closely with technical teams for deployment activities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, including diagrammatic and timeline-based milestone presentations.

Ability to adapt to challenging working hours and provide off-office hours support for deployments.

Advanced MS Excel skills for checklists and tracking.

SharePoint for documentation and team collaboration.

Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and release governance.
