Purpose of the position
- The incumbent is responsible in assisting in managing the central workshop and assisting in leading the maintenance team to perform maintenance & reliability related job functions in a safe & cost-effective manner.
Principal responsibilities
- To support and to perform maintenance function job in time and cost-effective manner. It is achieved by:
- Supporting turnaround management.
- To introduce and to implement new and effective maintenance skills.
- Originates and develops analysis methods for determining maintenance demands for components, equipment, and processes.
- Acquires maintenance data and analyses data, avoiding maintenance delay and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct analysis of maintenance related problem and investigate, to determine the outage required for the situation considering the cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment. Determine the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with demands for timely repair of processes/equipment.
- To support Central workshop management by:
- Improve, upgrade, and maintain workshop facility and management.
- To guide supervisors and mechanical technicians in performing theirs tasks and responsibility, establish good maintenance practices.
- To support reliability related job function by:
- Performing failure root cause analysis as to troubleshoot and avoiding repeating event again.
- Set-up lesson learning/sharing database for operation and maintenance personnel.
- To improve maintenance personnel skills at high level of safety, competency, quality, and reliability by:
- To develop, establish and execute the training plan for maintenance supervisors and mechanical maintenance technicians.
- To conduct training and proficiency test for maintenance personnel.
- To establish maintenance management system for supervisor, to perform major and critical maintenance activities.
Required qualifications/experience
- Bachelors/Master's in mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- At least 3 years experience in the fields of operation and maintenance of chemical industrial gases or manufacturing set-up.
