Summary of the role

You'll lead food R&D innovation and renovation projects from concept to launch, partnering cross-functionally to deliver products that meet quality, safety and regulatory standards, while supporting plant troubleshooting, cost optimization, and capability building within the technologist team.

What you'll be doing

• Product development delivery: lead idea-to-launch projects, review formulations/ materials/ processes, run trials and shelf-life studies, and drive product improvement and cost optimization.
• Plant technical support: support Supply Chain with troubleshooting, process/ machine changes, BCP readiness, and alternative material programs.
• Stakeholder & partner collaboration: work with internal teams and global/ regional R&D partners to deliver projects on time in full.
• Team coaching & trend awareness: coach technologists/ technicians, build technical and leadership capability, and stay current on food trends, ingredients, technologies, and regulatory/ food safety requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology (or related).
• At least 5 years of working experience in R&D of food manufacturing.
• Comfortable handling food (no major food allergies) and enjoys culinary work.
• Familiar with food processes and compliance (local Food Act/ Regulations, GMP, HACCP, Halal).
