JOB PROFILE: RESEARCH EXECUTIVE
PURPOSE
- To be an effective team member to the business area and Division, in the design, set up and management of research projects and administrative tasks
- To learn and master the research basics and undertake project management tasks with supervision

OUTPUTS/ACCOUNTABILITY
- Oversees the entire research process from start to finish together with the Senior Research Manager
- Key tasks includes: Timeline planning, desk research, screener design, questionnaire design, sampling, analysis plans, tab specs, data processing, report design / templates, data analysis and insights and presentations
- Ensures research basics and disciplines are implemented and upheld, including: logic checks, checklists, document standards, policies and procedures
- Responsible for overall quality control and all quality control documentation
- Ensures the process runs according to deadlines and budget together with the Project Manager
- Attempts initial value add / insights at each stage (development area)
- Develops basic Solutions knowledge
- Ensures integration of information from multiple sources where applicable and available
- Conducts desk research to add value to all reports / presentations and assist the client in understanding the South African market
- Assists with research design for entire project / process on small pitches
Experience
- Knowledge of basic statistics
- Experience in questionnaire design, table specifications and project management
- Understanding of basic methodologies and techniques to provide input into research design
- Previous experience as a project manager or a research executive in a market research company will be an advantage
- Experience in innovation research or customised quantitative research will be an advantage

- Excellent computing skills especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Social Science, Statistics or related studies
Note
- This is a role that will report to a manager based in another country. While there are no time zone differences, you should be comfortable collaborating across borders.
- Strong communication skills, proactive updates, and adaptability are essential to ensure seamless teamwork in a international setup.

About The Team
The Innovation Service Line guides clients throughout the innovation journey as they develop and launch new or improved products and services spanning a range of verticals. We help our clients develop the initial idea for a product/service, ensure the fully-articulated description of the product/service resonates with consumers, confirm that prototypes of the product/service properly deliver on consumer expectations, and finetune the full mix prior to launch. This is accomplished using best-in-class services, including idea screening, concept testing, product testing, price and line optimization, package testing and volumetric forecasting.
