Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Resident Architect role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Resident Architect will oversee day-to-day architectural activities on site, ensuring that design intent, technical specifications, and quality standards are correctly implemented throughout construction. Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams, reviewing drawings and shop drawings, resolving design and technical issues, and monitoring work progress against plans and schedules. The role also involves conducting site inspections, identifying non-conformities, and proposing practical design solutions to maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The Resident Architect will support project reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate design concepts into buildable, compliant solutions.
  • Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of construction activities and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Integration of architectural works with structural, MEP, and other building systems to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Awareness of relevant software tools used in architectural practice (e.g., CAD/BIM) and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and development teams, including basic understanding of Software Development processes where relevant.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Architecture or a related field; professional registration or eligibility for registration is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and authority submission requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work on site in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in residential or mixed-use developments and prior on-site resident architect or clerk-of-works exposure is an added advantage.
