ABOUT JOB:
The Resident Electrical Engineer will oversee all electrical and control systems works during the rehabilitation of the Hydropower Plant (4x100MW Francis units), including generators, transformers, MV/LV, and SCADA systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of generators, transformers, MV/LV systems, protection, and SCADA.
- Review and approve electrical design documents, wiring diagrams, protection schemes, and testing procedures.
- Ensure electrical works comply with project specifications, grid codes, and international standards.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical and commissioning teams to ensure system integration.
- Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Identify electrical risks, non-conformities, and propose mitigation measures.
- Report progress, issues, and technical recommendations to the Chief Resident Engineer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (LV, MV, HV, SCADA)
- More than 15 years of international experience in power generation projects
- Experience as Resident Engineer on at least one project larger than 100MW
- Fluent English; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
- Hydropower and refurbishment experience is preferred
