Working Hours: 8 hours per day based on customer working hours (e.g., 9 AM 6 PM)

Overtime: Not applicable unless in urgent situations

Candidate may be Junior but experience in Banking will be preferred.

3 days Putrajaya (until Dec 2026)

From Jan 2027: 2 days Bangi, 3 days KL Gateway

Role Overview

We are looking for a Resident Engineer to support and manage infrastructure within the customer's Data Center environment. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring system health, maintaining inventory, supporting firmware lifecycle management, and coordinating with support teams to ensure stable and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Resident Engineer duties for the duration of the contract (36 months).

Provide advisory and monitoring of system health within the customer Data Center.

Conduct daily monitoring and system health checks on hardware logs and infrastructure activities.

Report incidents to the helpdesk/support teams and track issue resolution until closure.

Assist with local inventory management and maintenance tracking of Data Center equipment.

Advise customers on firmware versions and recommend required patches or upgrades.

Proactively track and ensure Data Center equipment runs on the latest approved firmware levels.

Maintain accurate records of firmware versions and IT asset inventory.

Work closely with the Account Support Manager (ASM) to plan and execute proactive firmware deployments.

Support planning, scheduling, and documentation related to firmware updates.

Assist ASM with preparation and coordination of monthly review meetings.

Follow and comply with all IT Data Center policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 23 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure operations.

Experience working in Data Center environments.

Strong knowledge of hardware monitoring and system log analysis.

Experience in firmware management and incident reporting.

Experience with VMware

Experience with Commvault
