Resident Medical Officer

What we're looking for

●MBBS, MD or equivalent in Medicine from a recognised institution.

●Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

●Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.

●Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently.

●Willing to be based in Johor Bahru.

●Ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or local dialects is an added advantage.

What you'll do — Clinical

—Lead medical assessments and care planning for new and existing residents.

—Run ward rounds; diagnose, treat and monitor conditions, including wound-care management.

—Prescribe and shape treatment plans, referrals and lifestyle guidance.

—Review laboratory results and coordinate specialist referrals when needed.

—Mentor nursing and care staff through bedside teaching and training.

—Be the trusted point of contact for residents and their families.

—Uphold medical protocols, SOPs and regulatory compliance; keep meticulous records.

What you'll do — Centre leadership

—Own day-to-day operations and the service quality of the centre.

—Manage admissions, enquiries, family counselling and complaint resolution.

—Lead the team — scheduling, performance reviews, development and discipline.

—Plan manpower and oversee recruitment, onboarding and internship programmes.

—Keep facilities, housekeeping, inventory and quality assurance on track.

—Handle emergencies and escalate operational risks decisively.

—Oversee invoicing, claims and reporting; drive continuous improvement.
