Role Description The Resident Medical Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kajang, responsible for providing continuous medical care to patients in collaboration with the wider clinical team. The role includes conducting patient assessments, managing admissions, performing daily ward rounds, and monitoring patient progress. The Resident Medical Officer will assist in procedures and surgeries as required, respond to emergencies, and ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical notes, orders, and reports. The individual will coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans, support patient and family education, and uphold clinical safety and quality standards. The role also involves participating in clinical meetings, ongoing training activities, and quality improvement initiatives within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Solid foundation in Medicine with appropriate medical degree and valid registration with the relevant medical council.
  • Strong Patient Care skills, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and compassionate communication.
  • Ability to assist in Surgery and clinical procedures, following established guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Experience Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient management.
  • Commitment to Training and continuous professional development, including participation in case discussions and clinical updates.
  • Good clinical documentation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the facility.
  • Previous experience as a Resident Medical Officer or in a hospital setting is an advantage.
