Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Retail Financing Specialist role based in Miri. The Retail Financing Specialist will guide customers through retail financing products, including personal, auto, and home financing, ensuring all solutions comply with Shariah principles and internal policies. The role involves assessing customer eligibility, preparing and processing financing applications, verifying documentation, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely approvals and disbursements. The specialist will provide clear product explanations, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain high service standards at the branch. Daily responsibilities also include monitoring application pipelines, updating systems accurately, supporting promotional activities, and contributing to sales targets while managing risk and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain retail financing products clearly to diverse customers.
  • Knowledge of retail banking or financing operations, including application processing, documentation, and basic credit assessment.
  • Understanding of Islamic banking principles and Shariah-compliant financial products, or willingness to learn quickly in this domain.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to work with branch systems and standard office software.
  • Sales orientation with the ability to identify customer needs, cross-sell appropriate products, and contribute to branch performance targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple cases while meeting timelines and compliance requirements.
  • Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in finance, banking, business, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in retail banking, lending, or customer-facing financial services roles is an advantage.
