Role Overview

We are looking for a Retail Sales Manager to drive Anker's offline retail expansion across Malaysia. You will be responsible for building and managing relationships with key retail partners, growing in-store sales performance, and establishing Anker as a top-of-mind brand in Malaysia's consumer electronics retail landscape.

Key Responsibilities

1. Retail Channel Development

  • Identify, onboard, and grow partnerships with key electronics retailers in Malaysia (e.g., Senheng, Harvey Norman, Courts, All IT Hypermarket, and emerging channels)
  • Develop and execute retail expansion strategies to increase store coverage and distribution across Peninsular and East Malaysia
  • Negotiate commercial terms, listing agreements, and joint business plans with retail partners

2. Sales Performance Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual offline sales targets for the Malaysia market
  • Monitor sell-through performance at store level and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to optimise product mix and pricing strategy

3. In-Store Execution & Merchandising

  • Ensure optimal product placement, POSM (point-of-sale materials), and shelf visibility across all retail accounts
  • Plan and execute in-store activations, product demonstrations, and promotional campaigns
  • Train retail store staff on Anker product knowledge, selling points, and brand story

4. Distributor & Channel Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with authorised distributors and sub-distributors
  • Ensure channel compliance, pricing discipline, and inventory health
  • Coordinate with regional supply chain team to forecast demand and manage stock levels

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the regional marketing team on trade marketing campaigns and localised promotions
  • Provide market intelligence and consumer insights to the product team for Malaysia-specific product selection
  • Collaborate with e-commerce team to ensure omnichannel consistency (pricing, promotions, brand experience)

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in offline retail sales, channel management, or key account management within consumer electronics, mobile accessories, home appliances, or related FMCG sectors
  • Proven track record of managing key retail accounts and delivering against sales targets in Malaysia or Southeast Asia
  • Strong network with Malaysia's electronics retail buyers and decision-makers
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel and sales analytics tools
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia for store visits and partner meetings

Preferred

  • Experience working with global consumer electronics brands
  • Familiarity with omnichannel retail (online + offline integration)
  • Experience in product launch campaigns and in-store activation planning
