RHEL OS Administrator

• Role: Resident Engineer – RHEL OS Administrator
• Payroll: Infinite Computer Solutions
• Contract Duration: 1 year (renewable)
• Work Location: Bangi, Malaysia
• Certification: Minimum RHCSA and RHCE and other RHEL certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite/remote support for the customer's Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment hosted on LinuxONE servers
• Perform system administration tasks including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Monitor system health and ensure stability, availability, and security of the RHEL environment
• Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets in a timely manner
• Act as the primary coordination point with IBM and Red Hat support teams for issue resolution and escalation
• Support preventive maintenance activities and system upgrades where required
• Maintain proper documentation, reports, and operational procedures

Required Skillset:

• Strong hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration
• Experience working in enterprise Linux environments, preferably on IBM LinuxONE
• Good knowledge in system performance tuning, patch management, and security hardening
• Experience in handling tickets and working with IBM and Red Hat support teams
• Familiarity with incident management processes and SLA-driven environments
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
