Work you'll do

  • Subject Matter Expert support for the SEA Independence Leader on independence and conflicts matters
  • Coordinating updates to Deloitte policies and country-specific regulations in South East Asia (SEA), and evaluating their impact on the current independence and conflicts systems, processes and controls to support SEA and country geographies in meeting regulatory and professional standards requirements;
  • Key point of contact for SEA independence/conflicts consultations; working together with respective country Independence Leaders;
  • Supporting SEA Partners and Independence Leader on conflicts related initiatives;
  • Supporting the SEA business units with Independence/conflicts due diligence in respect of potential business acquisitions;
  • Oversight of the various SEA independence and conflicts monitoring processes
  • Main contact person for Global/AP Independence Practice Reviews; or conduct SEA geographies practice reviews;
  • Main contact person for SEA ISQM (Independence) requirements
  • Participate in Global/AP Independence initiatives to determine fit-for-purpose for SEA requirements
  • Develop communication and learning programs to enhance independence/conflicts sensitivities of Deloitte professionals

Requirements

  • 8 - 12 years of experience in audit, tax, advisory or a firm's risk or independence management function (preferably in Big 4 firms or other professional organizations)
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills at all levels
  • Preferably with knowledge of IESBA, SEC and PCAOB independence standards
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
