Role Summary
Responsible for conducting risk surveys and technical evaluations to support pre-underwriting, risk identification, loss control, and investigative reporting. The role also provides risk management support and technical recommendations to facilitate prudent underwriting decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk surveys and technical evaluations for pre-underwriting.
- Prepare loss control and investigative reports with recommendations.
- Support the implementation of loss control measures with underwriting, business units, and branches.
- Provide risk control advice and technical guidance to support underwriting decisions.
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, and business units to recommend risk improvement measures.
- Provide risk management support and advisory services.
- Present risk improvement recommendations and regulatory requirements to clients.
- Support the development of technical rating guidelines.
- Ensure departmental administrative processes and procedures are maintained.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in risk surveying, underwriting, loss control, or the insurance industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, underwriting principles, tariff requirements, building by-laws, and FEA requirements.
- Good report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, customer-focused, and results-oriented.
