Job Summary
The Senior Finance & Accounts Executive is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company within the manufacturing sector. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with budget management. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review.
Budgeting And Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing support in variance analysis.
- Participate in the forecasting process, contributing data and insights to improve accuracy.
- Support the Finance Manager in developing financial plans and strategies.
Cost Accounting
- Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, ensuring proper allocation and accurate costing.
- Conduct variance analysis on production costs, material usage, and labor efficiency.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate cost tracking and control.
Accounts Payable And Receivable
- Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor reconciliation.
- Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments and accurate recording.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to payments and collections.
Compliance And Auditing
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for audit trails and financial reviews.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist in managing working capital.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions regarding payments, transfers, and reconciliations.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance and accounts department.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial operations.
- Support the implementation of new financial systems or tools as required.
Collaboration And Support
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist the Finance Manager in special projects, financial analysis, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Provide guidance and training to junior finance staff as needed.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and cost accounting.
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Proficient in both Mandarin and English
