Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur for an ROV Manager, Assets & Operations. Responsible for the overall management of the SSS ROV team, including ROV systems, equipment, personnel, and documentation. Ensures ROV systems are maintained, certified, and fully compliant with applicable standards, client requirements, and company procedures. Oversees the development and implementation of ROV technical documentation, maintenance programs, and operational procedures.

Provides technical support to projects, operations, and clients regarding ROV systems, equipment, and methodologies. Manages the planning and execution of fleet maintenance, repairs, upgrades, procurement of equipment and spare parts, and required service activities. Responsible for monitoring and controlling capital and operational expenditures related to ROV systems.

Ensures the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), certification, and spare parts inventory are properly maintained and updated. Oversees training, competency development, and performance appraisal of ROV personnel. Supports tender submissions, technical inquiries, audits, and risk assessments, while ensuring full compliance with company QHSE policies and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge in ROV operations, asset management, maintenance planning, and safety protocols
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in project management and operational planning in the oil and gas sector
  • Effective communication, client relationship management, and problem-solving skills
  • A degree or relevant certifications in engineering, marine technology, or a related field
  • Familiarity with industry standards, technical drawings, and offshore ROV systems
  • Operational experience in the energy, oil, and gas sectors is advantageous
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and deliver under strict timelines
