GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

  • Our rapidly expanding Environmental Science business, is looking for a motivated and experienced Rural Hygiene Segment Manager to oversee the sales, marketing strategies, planning & execution for rural hygiene business segments in Malaysia.

  • This role involves directly in developing and managing oil palm plantation (OPP) business partners with focus on Rodenticide and pest & disease control in the OPP & related segment.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

  • Full responsibility in business strategy and initiative to lead the sales and marketing within the Segment for short and medium term.
  • Ensure annual sales and profitability objectives are achieved by setting up regular tracking and appropriate phasing while adhering to internal and external compliance requirements
  • Ensure proper utilization and liquidation of sold product. Managing outstanding credit and increase cash inflow within the norm set for receivables
  • Identify key stakeholders (customers, distributors, PCOs, government, NGOs, etc.) in MY and maintain relationships through frequent contact to drive sales in the region
  • Identify opportunities for market development in the region to drive sales and market growth
  • Coordinate with product development for trials/introduction of new molecules, and supply chain to ensure appropriate availability of product to support sales
  • Participate in major social events in association with the governments in the various zones in order to build on the corporate image/branding.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Internal: Multiple interfaces with all functional team in Malaysia and as part of the marketing community of APAC and Global. Strong interfaces with APAC Innovation and Marketing team is essential. Local and regional Supply Chain, Finance and Controlling are also key partners to interface.
  • External: End-user customers, distributors, PCOs, residential public, government stakeholders, Plantation company.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, prefer in business administration, agriculture, entomology, with 5-7 years of sales management/ business experience in agriculture, oil palm plantation.
  • Rodenticide knowledge & technical field experience is added advantages
  • Be proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia, including written and verbal (Oral, written, and listening skills)
  • Knowledge of pesticides, general insects, vector borne diseases, rodenticide in oil palm plantation buying processes of governments/private companies, and understanding of the vector control and pest control market segments
  • Oil Palm Plantation and other crop market knowledge in MY
  • Strong leadership with the abilities to coach, motivate and develop a team
  • Flexible to travel within or outside the country as and when required.
