We are looking for a skilled Rust Developer to help design, develop, and enhance our enterprise e-invoicing platform. The application is a full-stack Rust web app - server-side rendering with Axum plus client-side hydration via WebAssembly - delivering secure, scalable, and compliant invoicing solutions for enterprise clients, including direct integration with national tax authority systems (MyInvois/LHDN).
Job Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years in software development, with 2+ years of production Rust (or exceptional Rust proficiency with strong systems/backend background); enterprise or fintech/e-invoicing domain experience preferred.
- Programming Skills: Proficient in Rust (async/await, traits, feature-gated compilation targets); working knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, TypeScript (for e2e tooling).
- Full-Stack Rust: Hands-on experience with a Rust web framework (Leptos, Axum, Actix, Yew, or Dioxus) and WASM compilation; understanding of SSR + hydration trade-offs.
- Backend and APIs: Strong knowledge of API design, database schema design, transactional integrity, and integration with third-party services (OAuth, signing, webhooks).
- Databases: Solid PostgreSQL experience - migrations, indexing, roles and privileges; comfortable reasoning about data integrity enforced at the database layer.
- Tools and Collaboration: Git with Conventional Commits, pre-commit hooks, CI/CD pipelines, containerized development environments; familiarity with LLM-based coding assistants.
- Testing Discipline: Test-backed changes as a habit - unit, integration (database-backed), and browser e2e (Playwright).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills across the whole stack, from SQL query plans to WASM hydration issues.
- Optional: Experience with e-invoicing standards (UBL, PEPPOL, MyInvois), digital signatures (XAdES/PKI), Typst or document generation, and Grafana-stack observability are strong pluses.
