Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement Safety and Health System in compliance with statutory regulations and requirements.
Identify the unsafe practices & unsafe condition / near missed condition in the company.- To draw up safe operational practices necessary to minimize risk of workplace accidents.
To further improve and implement internal health & safety policies/ strategies necessary for optimized work process.
- To improve and monitor the Safety & Health measures.
To educate the Safety & Health procedures to employees.- Identifies needs for safety training and coordinates sessions/courses for site personnel.
Monitoring compliance with the requirements as detailed in the Safety & health Program.
- Monitoring compliance to specified procedures, safe work standards and statutory requirements.
Advising on related Health, Safety & Environment issues.- Maintaining safety education and awareness levels that support effective Safety management.
Liaise with relevant authorities who have jurisdiction on Occupational Safety, Health & Environment to comply with their requirements.
- To carry out accident investigation at plant and prepare accident report with all recommendations to prevent reoccurrences.
Conduct regular inspections and take appropriate corrective measures for non-compliance.
Registered as a Safety and Health Officer with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety & Health), with valid Green Book- Preferable 1 Year(s) of working experience in related industry
Good knowledge of all safety regulations / requirements and industry best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill for effective interaction with all parties on site
